Chardonnay is by far and away my favorite white wine. At Selby, I make two types of Chardonnay: a non-reserve and a reserve in honor of my father, Dave Selby, both of which are made from Russian River, Alexander Valley and Carneros fruit.

I strive to make Chardonnay that's luscious, supple and silky. I age both of our Chardonnays in French oak; the Sonoma County blend is in 60 percent new barrels while the Dave Selby Reserve is in 100 percent new French oak.
