Selby Winery, Healdsburg, CA

Tasting Notes

Selby Syrah is blended in France’s famous and traditional Côte Rôtie style of the Rhone region. The addition of Viognier results in a soft wine that is stylistically fragrant, complex and elegant yet rich and full-bodied.

2005 Selby Syrah
Sonoma County

It’s the best of all worlds when it comes to red wine: It’s spicy, smoky, toasty, fruity, heady and enthralling. It goes well with the food I love or is fine on its own. I’m not sure there’s anything better than a big glass of Syrah, a slice of Cambozola cheese, a baguette and a great book. (Except maybe a second glass of Syrah.)
